Cycling through the unspoiled nature of Trnovo forest
You are invited to Trnovo plateau for a peaceful holiday in the fresh air in the pristine environment of unspoiled nature and green forest.
We will start the day at the homestead with a house from 1768. Here they have a cheese factory with 20-year tradition of cheese making. The master will let us know about the proces of cheesemaking and serve us to tase cheeses. We will enter their life on the farm and walk to the cows on the pasture.
Lunch of homemade delicacies from the local cuisine.
In the afternoon we will cycle through the green, wild Trnovo forest ... up, down, around the fresh air of the wilderness. Today, the area is protected as a botanical and forest reserve. While cycling, we will admire the nature around us and visit the Ledenica cave, from where in the past carters loaded ice all the way to Trieste.
At the end of the day, we will go up to the monument to the fallen soldiers of World War II who fought against the Italian occupation of this territory. From here we will enjoy the panorama with a view of the Vipava Valley and Nanos, the Karst and Nova Gorica
